Peppermint and stalky spices over succulent red fruit and hard plums, softened by a layer of sweet vanilla from short-term oak ageing. A little more angular than the 2019 still, with prominent dusty tannins on the finish. Given this wine's propensity to age, bank on another year or two of cellaring.
