The proverbial sheep in wolf ’s clothing, this wine conceals more than it reveals. It’s powerful and muscular but it’s under control and self-possessed. Rich with dark blue and black berry fruit flavour with vibrant spice highlights and complexity added by a
dried herb nuance, there is something gentle and appealing in its subtle violet florality on the periphery. There’s an oaky tannin note, but it’s supportive rather than overbearing. Everything is in harmony. Long and rewarding.
