The peppery intro is followed by small, granular dark berries and brooding spices. Firm tannins and grippy, drying acidity on the palate mask the fruit at this stage and highlight bitter coffee and black olive notes. The 2023 needs time to harmonise with time in the glass already improving the wine. Allow more time.
